A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The downside of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be very easy in case you have a hosting plan with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up shown alphabetically and next to each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly show you whether a specific mailbox stores all the emails for a given domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you like. If there is activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a notification from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox with ease even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up with your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not need the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
